Usui Reiki Master Teacher
Karuna Holy Fire Reiki Master Teacher
Integrative Energy Therapist
Kellie is a Certified Usui Reiki Master Teacher, and a Karuna Holy Fire Reiki Master Teacher, teaching Reiki Classes regularly, she is also a Certified Hypnotherapist, and an Advanced Integrative Energy Therapist. As Reiki Master Teacher, Kellie has trained in the direct lineage of Mrs. Takata, for her Reiki certifications. (Mrs. Takata brought Reiki to the United States from Japan back in the 1940's ) Kellie received her hypnotherapy training through The Cape Cod Center for Whole Health. The comprehensive training included all aspects of hypnotherapy including medical hypnosis, and hypnosis for regression, emotional and physical healing, as well as for weight loss, addiction, anxiety, depression, finding your soul's purpose and more. Integrative Energy Therapy is a hands on healing modality that works similar to Reiki, but also has a more spiritual level to the healing sessions. Kellie has taken numerous classes and is constantly expanding her skill set, to make her a more comprehensive teacher and healer. . Kellie is a member of theInternational Center for Reiki Training, and a member of The International Medical and Dental Hypnotherapy Association, and recently earned a certification in essential oils through the Centre for Excellence.
Like so many of us, life's journey has taken her down many roads that have lead her to where she is today. Kellie was working in a completely different field, when at the age of 26, her only brother was murdered. This life shattering event restructured her whole life and was a catalyst in her seeking emotional healing for herself. Several years later Kellie was diagnosed with cancer, and then needed healing on a whole new level, in the physical plane. It is through recovering from her own grief and healing both emotionally and physically from the trauma of those two major life events, that Kellie was brought to Reiki, Hypnotherapy and Integrative Energy Therapy. These alternative healing modalities have assisted in elevating Kellie, in returning her to a place of balance and joy. After seeing the amazing life transformation that was able to occur in her own life, Kellie was lead to change career paths, to assist others with their own needs to find peace, balance and healing. Together with her family, Kellie developed a scholarship fund in memory of her brother. She was honored by the Boston Celtics, as a Hero Among Us for her fundraising efforts and scholarship donations to local high school seniors totaling in excess of $75,000 and rising. Chosen annually, the Scholarship Fund turns around the tragedy of her brother's passing and reframes it into triumph for the lucky scholarship recipients.
Formerly a hospice volunteer for many years, Kellie assisted clients in end of life transition, holding hands, comforting and bringing peace to those who need it most. She specializes in helping people empower themselves, and in helping people transition from the stages of grief from any kind of loss. She truly cares about all of her clients, and infuses loving compassion into all of the healing treatments that she offers. She is a healing professional, but also prides herself in becoming part of her clients own personal cheer leading squad offering encouragement as they journey down their paths. She does not judge any person or any situation, as we all have to go through "stuff" to ascend our souls and learn life lessons. Sometimes we just need someone to give us a little boost! Her goal, is to help hold a place for positive light here on the Earth, for it to shine and reach as many people, as possible through inspiration and guidance.

Michaela Bileau, Mallary Bileau
Being twins, much of Michaela and Mallary's journey is interwoven:
Mallary and her sister Michaela have been involved in human services for over 15 years engaging in volunteerism, mentoring, and working as mental health counselors for non-profit organizations. Their journey started in grade school when they became members of the Rhode Island Children's Crusade, (now College Crusade of Rhode Island) a program for low-income urban youth providing opportunities for learning and service. They participated with the Crusaders taking advantage of workshops training, volunteerism and leadership opportunities. They used their experiences in other service projects including those through the National Honor Society and as Co-Editors in Chief of their high school newspaper. Their undergraduate education at Rhode Island College helped further their passion for community involvement with elected positions for both the RIC’s Psychological Society and the local chapter of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology. Here, they lead several service projects in the community and helped students by offering guidance and support through their academic journeys. They earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Dependency and Addiction Studies. To highlight their dedication to learning in psychology and counseling, they were the co-recipients of the 28th Annual Victoria Lederberg Psychology Department Faculty Award at Rhode Island College in 2008. In recognition of their overall service, leadership and academic excellence, both Mallary and Michaela were named to the national honors program Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges and received the distinguished Rhode Island College’s Award for Outstanding Achievement which acknowledged two women of the graduating class for demonstrating leadership and academic excellence. They were also members of the Rhode Island College Women’s Soccer Team and were recognized for their academic and athletic accomplishments receiving the Legislative-Scholar Athlete Award. During their education at RIC, Mallary and Michaela worked for Northern Rhode Island Mental Health Services as Youth Mentors and as Intensive-Behavior Therapist at Bradley Hospital working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
LMHC, Reiki Master Practitioner,
Michaela is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Reiki Master, and Nutritional Therapist. She is an observer and student of life with deep respect and compassion for the human condition.
Michaela earned a graduate assistantship position at UMass Dartmouth working with students with disabilities where she researched and designed student resource guides, ran student support groups and offered academic support. She was offered a second assistantship position with the department of student conduct and dispute resolution. She volunteered time to the university’s drug and alcohol committee and with the campus’ Wellness Center where she researched and developed a program manual using evidence based practices aimed to help educate university students on the mis-perceptions of drinking among peers to reduce the negative consequences of alcohol consumption. Michaela was recognized in an Alumni Feature by The College Crusade of Rhode Island and was identified as a graduate spotlight by the UMass Dartmouth office of public affairs. She was honored at her graduate ceremony by delivering the graduate student commencement speech, sharing her academic and personal achievements despite her struggle with an anxiety disorder. After graduation she was eager to pursue her passions in cognitive-behavioral counseling, neuroscience and writing.
In 2013 she suffered two major concussions while playing soccer. She sought alternative healing methods, remembering that she was treated by a hypnotist for a childhood medical condition after years of unsuccessful attempts with conventional treatments. Through a very difficult and trying journey of physical, mental and spiritual healing she came to discover her own abilities as an intuitive healer and a renewed passion for helping others. In June 2015 she received her Reiki Master training from Kellie Surdis, RMT, IET, C.H.t. She is excited to begin a new chapter with a team of talented professionals at The Healing Tree. Her approach to counseling and wellness is holistic and one of support and compassion incorporating nutrition, mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques to enhance the mind-body-spirit connection and quality of life.

Lois Monteiro is a Licensed Acupuncturist specializing in Japanese Style Acupuncture and Moxibustion. Lois sees patients of all ages for conditions ranging from acute and chronic pain, digestive, autoimmune and infertility. She specializes in treating psycho-emotional conditions such as anxiety and depression. Lois holds a Master in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture/Mass College of Pharmaceutical and Health Science. She is licensed in Massachusetts by the Board of Registration in Medicine. She is also Auricular Acupuncture Certified by the Auriculotherapy Institute. Her passion for this medicine is, every person treated is seen as an individual and receives custom care. The focus of treatment is to activate the body’s natural healing potential by treating the root cause of the disharmony of mind, body and spirit to improve overall health and wellbeing.
Lois gravitates towards Japanese style acupuncture; diagnosis and treating patients based on the palpation of the abdomen and feeling of the pulse. The gentle insertion and manipulation of needles (or treatment magnets for people with needle phobia), to balance body energy is effective in treating mental/emotional disorders, infertility and pain. Moxibustion is an intricate part of treatment used to warm and invigorate the flow of Qi in the body and dispel certain pathogenic influences. Her experience at Malden Family Health Center of the Cambridge Health Alliance and Lemuel Shattuck Hospital proves valuable in integrative medicine; working on an outpatient basis. Many patients in these clinics suffered from anxiety disorders with intense side effects of their medication including nausea, mood swings, insomnia and depression. Acupuncture reduced these side effects, even supporting patients with decreasing pharmaceutical dosage without the return of anxiety. Western medicine practitioners focused on the immediate resolution of the diagnosis and the Eastern medicine practitioner focused on the underlying reasons for the disharmony causing illness. The combination of both medicines proved to shorten recovery time after surgery, negate some side effects of medication and gave the patients a feeling of wellbeing.
